The IELTS test has no specific eligibility criterionAnd hence there is no specific IELTS selection procedure 2016 for any university. However, as the selection procedure of IELTS 2016 varies from organisation to organisation, candidates have to make sure they are fully informed at the time of filling up of the IELTS application form . While every organisation sets its own entry requirements in the IELTS 2016 selection procedure, in some cases both versions of IELTS may be accepted.

Further, the accepted IELTS score also varies according to countries, universities and the programme the student is applying to. For example, most of the business schools in USA accept an IELTS score band of above 7 while those in Oceania or Asia accept IELTS score above 5.5 in the IELTS selection procedure 2016

The IELTS syllabus covers four sections. They are: Listening, reading, writing and speaking. The tests should be covered within a total duration of 2 hours 45 minutes. However, listening, reading and writing tests are taken on one day while speaking test may be taken on the same day or within 7 days before or after the test. Universities refer the overall IELTS scores of the candidates in their IELTS selection procedure 2016.

Worldwide, there are more than 1,100 test centres for IELTS Test. Test dates can be fixed by the aspirants from the list of given IELTS test dates. However, confirmation on the IELTS test date will be received only if there are available seats as on that date.
