IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 as per vacancies

 

Following are the posts for which the IBPS releases the Vacancies. The Selection Procedure

 

1.) Office Assistants (Multipurpose) – Preliminary and Mains Examination 

 

2.) Officer Scale-I – Preliminary, Mains and Interview

 

3.) Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer) – Single Online Examination and Interview

 

4.) Officer Scale-II (Specialist Cadre) – Single Online Examination and Interview

 

5.) Officer Scale- III – Single Online Examination and Interview

 

Details as per the IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016

 

There are possibly four stages in the RRB Selection Procedure as per different posts which are as follows:

1) Online Preliminary Examination
2) Online Mains Examination
3) Single Online Examination
4) Common Interview

 

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 – Preliminary Examination

 

Candidates applying to the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will have to appear for the Preliminary Examination.

 

1.) The Preliminary Examination for both the posts will be conducted for 80 marks.

 

2.) There will be two sections – Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude in the exam

 

3.) Candidates (for both posts) have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks.

 

4.) Adequate number of candidates in each category, depending upon requirements, will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

 

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 – Online Mains Examination

 

Only those candidates who will qualify the Preliminary Examination as per the IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 will appear for the Mains Examination.

The Mains Examination for Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be conducted for 200 marks.

 

There will be five sections – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English, Hindi language and Computer Knowledge in the test.

 

Candidates applying for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be provided provisional allotment on the basis of the marks obtained in the Mains Examination and vacancies reported by RRBs.

For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates qualifying the Mains Examination will be called for the Interview.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 – Single Online Examination

 

Candidates applying for Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III will appear for a single online examination.

 

Shortlisted candidates in the single examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview.

The Total marks for the tests will be 200.

 

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Single examination to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure – Interview

1.) Interview is applicable for the posts of Officers Scale I, II and III

2.) Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for the post of Officers Scale I and in the single level examination for the post of Officers Scale II and III will subsequently be called for an Interview.

3.) Interview  will be co-ordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority.

4.) The total marks allotted for Interview are 100.

5.) The minimum qualifying marks/scores in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

6.) The minimum qualifying marks in interview for Officers Scale II and III will also be not less than 40% for all the candidates except 35% for SC / ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2016 – Final Allotment

1.) The relative weightage (ratio) of CWE and interview will be 80:20 respectively for the Officers cadre.

2.) A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.

3.) On completion of the interview process/ main examination, depending on the vacancies to be filled in, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs based on merit-cum-preference.
